Taal Academy was founded in 2002 by Shilpa Save, with a vision to provide superior and structured training in Kathak dance. Currently, over 150 students are enrolled to train with the Academy. The goal of this institution is to promote and showcase the richness of Indian culture through dance.

Bi-annual dance recitals are organized in theatres to provide an excellent platform for the students to showcase their talents. A variety of other performances take place every year, giving students the opportunity to participate in a range of professionally produced and choreographed shows.
