Since 2002 when this dance school was established, many students have trained here. We are proud to share that 3 of our senior students have completed their Visharad – an enviable level of accomplishment in Kathak studies—Nikita Joshi, Kruttika Nene and Monika Joshi.

From having 30 students on stage for the very first recital, the 7th bi-annual recital saw 150 students performing on stage! Speaking of growth, we have recently started our Brampton location which is managed by a student and diploma holder from Taal Academy, Sanika Poredi.

In 2015, 90 students appeared for the Bharati Vidyapeeth Kathak examinations through our dance school. The students of Taal Academy are honoured to be part of a dedicated institution where Kathak is not just an art form to learn; it is a passion to imbibe, nurture and showcase.

4 student-teachers are now regularly working with the beginner and younger groups of students and we truly appreciate the care and love with which they teach and handle these students. These student-teachers are: Samina Talukdar, Maanasa Rayavarapu, Sanika Poredi and Neha Bhole.

Since the summer of 2015, we have also started a Performing Group for Taal Academy which is entirely managed by our student-teacher, Maanasa Rayavarapu. This group has performed at various local events within the GTA.
